Regulatory Associations

In order to have an understanding of the issues related to pesticides, staff of VDACS actively participate in several national associations which are involved in various aspects of pesticide regulation.  These associations consist of representatives from other state and federal government programs related to pesticide regulation or education.   They may also include membership from public and private universities or non-profit groups who are actively involved in pesticide policy and education.  Unless otherwise noted, staff members of the Office of Pesticide Services represent the agency and the Board in the associations.

American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE)
AAPSE is an association of educators who are involved in pesticide safety education programs throughout the United States.  Members represent state, federal and tribal government as well as land-grant university cooperative extension services and some non-profit groups.

AAPCO provides state and federal regulatory officials to collaborate on decisions and discussions related to pesticide regulation.

Association of Structural Pest Control Officials (ASPCRO)
